How it happened
Lisandro Semedo made the difference. He played only 35 minutes, scored twice and took a match rating of 9.1, the highest of any player in the game, as Wieczysta Kraków won 3-0 against Wisła Płock.
Lucas Piazón opened the scoring in the 34th minute, and the home side led 1-0 at the break. Semedo added the second in the 68th minute, which settled the contest for long stretches of the second half. He then struck again in the 90+6th minute to put the final score beyond doubt.
There were no red cards, and Wisła never found a way back into the match.
The numbers
The scoreline was backed up by the underlying figures. Wieczysta had 15 shots to Wisła's 11, and six of them were on target against two. Expected goals read 1.83 to 0.62, so the home side created almost three times the quality of chance.
Possession was close, with Wisła holding 51% to the hosts' 49%, and the visitors won seven corners to six. The ball stayed even; the chances did not.
Semedo's expected goals total was 0.58, so his two goals came from a little above the average quality of chance. He also made one key pass. Piazón played the full 90 minutes, scored once, set up another goal and made three key passes, for a rating of 8.8. Karol Fila, with 69 touches and two key passes, took a rating of 7.6.
In the Wisła goal, Rafał Leszczyński made three saves and took a rating of 5.6.
What it means
Wieczysta came in 13th with eight points from nine matches and a sequence of draw, loss, draw, loss, loss. This is their first win in that run, and the three points would lift them to 11, level with Wisła's pre-match total.
Wisła, 11th, had won two and drawn one of their previous five before losing the last two, and now have three defeats in a row. They had scored nine goals in nine matches before this game, and they were shut out here.
