The indicative market price is the median of eligible odds across multiple bookmakers. It is not tied to one operator and may change after publication.
Since 9 October 2026 the daily football and basketball slip is chosen by an analyst: Claude reads a dossier of the day’s priced fixtures (the bookmakers’ consensus and fair odds for every outcome, recent form with expected goals, home and away records, the table, head to head and line-up certainty; for basketball recent margins, rest days and ratings) and picks a single at odds between 1.80 and 2.20, a double of two short prices in the same range when no single convinces, or nothing. Code then checks every choice: the selections must exist, sit on different matches and land between 1.80 and 2.20, and every figure in the written reasons must come from the data. Prices are refreshed before publication. When the analyst cannot answer, the rules engine (the most probable combination that reaches 1.90) publishes instead. GiovePicks does not use anyone else’s predictions, and every model version and data snapshot stays linked to the original selection.
Every bookmaker price contains a margin, and our backtests found no proven way to beat it: form, table position and other public statistics are already in the price. The analyst shows its own estimate next to the market’s, and its record is judged over many slips, not one. A run of losses is normal, some days there is no pick at all, and nothing here is advice to bet.
Full models advance only after time-based backtests, anti-leakage checks, calibration, and a subsequent shadow sample. When the data is not good enough, the correct choice is not to publish.
