How it happened

Al-Qadsiah won 5-0 away to Al-Kholood, and the margin was set early. Reijnders scored in the fourth minute, and Baah doubled the lead in the 13th.

Juwayr made it 3-0 in the 40th minute, so the visitors went in at the break with the match settled. Al-Kholood had not scored by half-time and did not score after it.

Retegui added the fourth in the 67th minute. Quiñones completed the scoring from the penalty spot in the 86th. No red cards were shown.

The numbers

The scoreline was not a case of one side sitting back and the other taking every chance. Al-Kholood had 14 shots to Al-Qadsiah's 20, and won 10 corners to six. Only four of their shots were on target, against nine for the visitors.

Al-Qadsiah also had 61% of possession to the hosts' 39%. Their expected goals total of 5.02 was almost double Al-Kholood's 2.57, so the five goals matched the quality of chances rather than flattering it.

Al-Kholood's own figure of 2.57 shows they created enough to score, yet they finished without a goal.

What it means

Over their last 10 matches, Al-Kholood have won three, drawn three and lost four, conceding 19 goals. Al-Qadsiah have won six, drawn two and lost two in the same span, averaging two points a match.
