How it happened
Al-Fateh won 3-2 away from home after trailing twice, and Mourad Batna sat at the centre of it. He scored the winner in the 90+5th minute and, by the match rating, was the best player on the pitch.
Al-Hazem went ahead on 17 minutes when S. Bendebka scored from the penalty spot. W. Kanga levelled for Al-Fateh on 27 minutes, and the sides went in at 1-1.
A. Al-Dwehe put the home side back in front four minutes after the restart, in the 49th minute. That lead held until the 88th minute, when F. A. Abdulwahed equalised. Batna then settled it in stoppage time, with five minutes of the 90 already gone.
The numbers
Little separated the sides over the match. Expected goals finished at 2.28 each, possession was split 50-50, and Al-Hazem had 12 shots to Al-Fateh's 15. On target it was five against six.
The gap was in set pieces: Al-Fateh won 10 corners to Al-Hazem's three.
Batna scored once, made two assists, created five chances with key passes and had 60 touches, for a match rating of 9.9. Amir Saâyoud was the best of the home side with a rating of 8.9, one assist and four key passes. Abdulaziz Al-Dwehe scored and carried an expected-goals figure of 1.00 from his one shot or chances, with a rating of 7.9.
Al-Hazem goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk made three saves and finished with a rating of 6.3.
What it means
The result cuts against the table. Al-Hazem were 10th with nine points, Al-Fateh 16th with six, and Al-Fateh arrived with one win in their previous 10 matches and 20 goals conceded across them.
Al-Hazem, for their part, had two wins in their last two matches before this one, so the home side will feel the late collapse. The two clubs' previous two meetings, 1-1 and 0-0, were both draws; this one produced five goals.
