How it happened
Issouf Macalou scored twice after the interval as FC Universitatea Cluj won the city derby 3-1 against CFR 1907 Cluj, reversing a half-time deficit.
CFR took the lead through Stefan Dražić in the 12th minute and led 1-0 at the break. Universitatea levelled early in the second half, Macalou converting a penalty in the 51st minute. Four minutes later Mendy put the visitors ahead, and Macalou added the third in the 71st minute.
No red cards were shown, so the turnaround came from three goals in the second half, not from a change in numbers.
The numbers
Universitatea had 62% of the possession to CFR's 38% and out-shot the hosts 15 to 12. The gap widened on target, where the visitors managed six attempts to three. Corners were level at four each.
Expected goals favoured the winners clearly, at 1.99 to 0.65, an estimate that suggests the scoreline was earned rather than flattering.
Macalou's match rating of 7.9 was the highest on the pitch, from 55 touches in 88 minutes. Dražić's 7.6 was the best for CFR, though he played 74 minutes and had 27 touches. Ovidiu Bic, Universitatea's other standout at 7.4, made 101 touches and one key pass. CFR goalkeeper Octavian Vâlceanu made three saves and finished with a rating of 5.4.
What it means

CFR have lost six of their last 10, winning three and drawing one, and have conceded 22 goals in that time. They had won 12 of the 22 previous meetings, against six for Universitatea and four draws.
