How it happened
Thierry Gale turned this League B, Group B fixture in the space of three minutes. Bermuda had broken the deadlock in the 75th minute, only for the Barbados midfielder to score in the 79th and 82nd minutes and finish with a match rating of 9.3, the highest on the pitch.
The first half was goalless. Bermuda went ahead through D. Parfitt-Williams after 75 minutes, with Enrique Russell supplying the only home assist of the night.
The lead lasted four minutes. Gale levelled in the 79th minute and struck again in the 82nd, with Niall Reid-Stephen credited with both assists. There were no red cards.
The numbers
Barbados controlled the volume. They had 55% of the ball, 15 shots to Bermuda's six and eight on target to two, and won seven corners to two.
The expected-goals figures, which are estimates, tell a closer story: Bermuda 1.37, Barbados 1.2. That suggests the home side made more of their fewer chances, while Barbados needed sheer weight of attempts.
Gale played all 90 minutes, with two key passes and 66 touches alongside his two goals. Reid-Stephen matched his assists with six key passes and a rating of 7.6. For Bermuda, Russell also earned a 7.6 in his 87 minutes, and goalkeeper Jahquil Hill made six saves for a rating of 6.4, keeping his side in the match for long spells.
What it means
The result follows Barbados's 4-1 home win over Bermuda on 3 October, making it two wins over the same opponents in three days. Across the five meetings listed, the record now favours the home side in each fixture three times, with one draw and one away win, at an average of four goals a game.
Bermuda's recent record remains a difficult one: no wins in their last 10 listed matches, one draw and nine defeats, with 7 goals scored and 34 conceded. Barbados's run of 10 shows four wins, one draw and five defeats, averaging 1.3 points a match. On this evidence, Barbados's ability to respond quickly once behind was the difference.
