How it happened
Internacional de Bogotá won this Copa Colombia quarterfinal by three goals, and they did it after falling behind. Llaneros FC led 1-0 through Ospina in the 21st minute, then watched the home side score four times without reply.
Julio levelled in the 33rd minute. Five minutes later Boné put Internacional ahead from the penalty spot, and the hosts went into the break 2-1 up.
Dájome extended the lead in the 53rd minute, and Caballero completed the scoring in the 76th. Llaneros did not score again after Ospina's opener, and no red cards were shown.
The numbers
Four different players scored for Internacional, with one goal each from Julio, Boné, Dájome and Caballero. Between the 33rd and 38th minutes they turned a deficit into a lead, and the second half added two more goals to a 2-1 half-time advantage.
Recent results made a heavy defeat for Llaneros less of a surprise. Their last ten matches read one win, one draw and eight defeats, an average of 0.4 points per match, with 10 goals scored and 19 conceded. Internacional's ten read three wins, five draws and two defeats, 1.4 points per match, with 16 scored and 14 conceded.
The earlier meetings between the clubs were closer. Internacional won 3-2 on 12 September, and the sides drew 1-1 on 5 March. Those two games averaged 3.5 goals, and this one produced five.
What it means
Internacional took a 4-1 win from a match in which they trailed. For Llaneros, it extends a poor run that the sequence of LLLLWLLDLL already showed, with the one win in that stretch the exception.
Internacional's own sequence, WDDDLLWWDD, finished on two draws. A four-goal night is their highest return in that sequence's span on the numbers given: they had not been scoring at this rate, with 16 goals across ten matches before this one.
